The Patna Police forcibly removed Kishor and his supporters from the site, citing a Patna High Court directive that prohibits protests outside designated areas like Gardani Bagh. Following his arrest, Kishor was taken to AIIMS in an ambulance amid chants of "Vande Mataram" by his supporters.
Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh confirmed the arrests, stating that Kishor’s protest violated court orders. Meanwhile, JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar criticized Kishor, alleging that his actions disregarded the law and questioned his commitment to the cause.
The BPSC retest, conducted on January 4 for select candidates, reportedly occurred without misconduct, with 5,943 out of 8,111 registered candidates appearing. Despite this, Kishor remained steadfast in demanding the complete cancellation of the exam, arguing for fairness and transparency in the recruitment process.
Kishor announced that the Jan Suraaj Party would file a plea in the High Court on Tuesday to seek the exam's annulment. He also reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the movement, regardless of opposition or administrative hurdles.
As tensions rise over the incident, the issue highlights the broader concerns regarding transparency in public examinations and the growing friction between activists and authorities in Bihar.
