Following the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people, tensions between India and Pakistan have surged. Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi offered Tehran's mediation to foster understanding between New Delhi and Islamabad. Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan also engaged with both nations' counterparts to ease tensions. India's government, led by Home Minister Amit Shah, is devising a strategy to halt all water flow to Pakistan, as stated by Jal Shakti Minister CR Paatil. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing the attack, attributed to Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), with five to seven terrorists and two locally trained militants involved.

Concurrently, the Indian Army responded to unprovoked Pakistani firing along the Line of Control on Thursday, with no casualties reported. As investigations deepen and diplomatic efforts intensify, the region braces for further developments.
