​Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty have welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on March 24, 2025. 

The couple shared the joyful news on Instagram with a heartfelt post featuring an image of two swans and the message, "Blessed with a baby girl."

KL Rahul was notably absent from Delhi Capitals' IPL opener against Lucknow Super Giants, as he was granted special permission to be with Athiya for the birth. ​

The couple, who tied the knot in January 2023, announced their pregnancy in November 2024. ​

Athiya is the daughter of veteran actor Suniel Shetty. 

Fans and celebrities, including Kiara Advani and Shanaya Kapoor, flooded the comments with congratulatory messages.
