KL Rahul made history with a brilliant unbeaten 112 off 65 balls for Delhi Capitals against Gujarat Titans in their IPL 2025 match on Sunday. This was his fifth IPL century, making him the only second Indian batsman after Virat Kohli to reach five or more IPL hundreds.
Rahul also became the first player ever to score centuries for three different IPL franchises - Punjab Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, and now Delhi Capitals.
Rahul's innings featured 14 fours and 4 sixes, guiding Delhi Capitals to a strong total of 199/3. Opening the innings, he was in sublime form on a slower pitch, playing clean strokes and rotating the strike expertly.
Key support came from Abishek Porel (30 off 19), skipper Axar Patel (25 off 16), and Tristan Stubbs (21 not out).
Rahul's aggressive and calculated approach helped Delhi set a challenging target.
He also became the fastest Indian and third overall to reach 8,000 runs in men's T20 cricket during this innings, cementing his place among the IPL's elite performers.
