IPL 2025 revised schedule announced: season resumes with RCB vs KKR clash

The IPL 2025 season will resume on May 17, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) facing Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Bengaluru, as per the revised schedule announced by the BCCI.

The tournament was halted due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan but will now proceed following a ceasefire declared on Saturday. The final is scheduled for June 3.

A key fixture, Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals, will be replayed on May 24 in Jaipur after it was earlier suspended mid-game in Dharamsala.

Playoff dates include Qualifier 1 on May 29, the Eliminator on May 30, and Qualifier 2 on June 1. However, venues for these matches are yet to be confirmed.

The league stage concludes on May 27 with a clash between Lucknow Super Giants and RCB. Two doubleheaders are scheduled, the first on May 18.

Matches will be held across six venues: Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur, with four neutral-venue games included.

The BCCI thanked the armed forces for ensuring a safe environment and emphasized its dedication to both national interest and the successful conclusion of the IPL.
