Just hours after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire, Pakistan violated the truce-launching drone attacks and triggering panic across border states.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, in a late-night briefing, confirmed the breach and said Indian armed forces have been ordered to “deal strongly” with any further violations. “We call upon Pakistan to act responsibly and stop these provocations,” he stated.

Multiple areas came under alert-including Jammu, Srinagar, Punjab, and Rajasthan. Explosions in Srinagar forced blackouts, while Udhampur witnessed another drone attack intercepted by India's air defense.

Barmer district in Rajasthan was put on immediate alert after incoming air raid warnings. In Gurdaspur, drone sightings prompted emergency protocols. Several towns in Punjab also enforced blackouts as a precautionary measure.

Gunshots were reported from Baramulla and Budgam districts in Jammu and Kashmir, further escalating concerns.

The Border Security Force (BSF) reported fresh ceasefire violations in Akhnoor and RS Pura, assuring that appropriate responses were underway.

This sudden aggression, despite the ceasefire understanding, has once again raised tensions along the Line of Control (LoC).

India is now on high alert, with armed forces maintaining strict vigilance across all vulnerable zones.
