Industrialist Gautam Adani shared today that his son, Jeet Adani, who is set to marry Diva Jaimin Shah on February 7 (Friday), has pledged to support the wedding of 500 women with disabilities every year. The couple has committed to contributing ₹10 lakh each annually for this cause.

Announcing the initiative on X, Gautam Adani expressed his pride, stating, "Jeet and Diva have decided to begin their married life with a noble pledge. Their 'Mangal Seva' commitment to supporting the weddings of 500 Divyang sisters every year fills me with immense satisfaction. I believe this initiative will bring joy and dignity to many Divyang daughters and their families. I pray for Jeet and Diva’s continued success on this path."

To mark the launch of this initiative, Jeet Adani met 21 newlywed Divyang women and their husbands today.

At 27 years old, Jeet Adani is a key figure in the Adani Group, having joined in 2019. He serves as the Director of Adani Airport Holdings, India's largest airport infrastructure company, which manages and develops eight airports. An alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, Jeet oversees the Group's defence, petrochemicals, and copper businesses and is also responsible for its digital transformation efforts.

Jeet Adani has long been an advocate for persons with disabilities, a cause close to his heart. During a recent appearance on Shark Tank India, he suggested that the show should feature an episode dedicated to entrepreneurs with disabilities and those working towards their empowerment. This idea was backed by People Group and Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal, leading to the announcement of a "Divyang Special" episode.

During the show, Jeet also highlighted that the Adani Group has committed to ensuring that at least 5% of its workforce comprises persons with disabilities.

Jeet Adani shared that his motivation for this initiative stemmed from a visit to Mitti Cafe, a chain of outlets across India that employs persons with disabilities from underprivileged backgrounds. Recalling his experience at the Mumbai International Airport outlet, he said, "The smiles, spark, and compassion of the staff, despite all the hardships they have faced, deeply moved me."
