The Gujarat Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested 28-year-old health worker Sahdevsinh Gohil for allegedly sharing classified information about the Border Security Force (BSF) and Indian Navy with a Pakistani woman agent via WhatsApp.
Gohil, posted at a primary health centre in Kutch, was in contact with the agent posing as “Aditi Bharadwaj” since July 2023. He reportedly sent photos, videos, and location details of sensitive military areas near the India Pakistan coastal border in Gujarat.
Investigators found that he provided a WhatsApp-linked SIM card OTP to the agent and received up to ₹40000 for each transmission. His mobile device revealed incriminating data, including call logs and multimedia files.
A case has been registered under sections 61 and 148 of BNS. This espionage attempt, discovered soon after the Pahalgam terror attack, has raised serious concerns over internal national security breaches.
