How did Barcelona manage to score five goals against Real Madrid?

The match kicked off with an unexpected twist as Kylian Mbappé put Real Madrid ahead in the 5th minute, sending shockwaves through the Barcelona camp. However, rather than crumbling under pressure, Barcelona responded with remarkable resilience. Just 17 minutes later, Lamine Yamal equalized with a well-placed shot, igniting the spirits of the Catalan side.

The momentum shifted further when Robert Lewandowski converted a penalty in the 36th minute after Gavi was fouled by Eduardo Camavinga. This goal not only gave Barcelona a 2-1 lead but also shifted the psychological advantage in their favour.

Barcelona's offensive onslaught continued as they scored four goals in the first half alone:

In the 39th minute, Raphinha found the back of the net with a stunning header from a long cross by Jules Koundé, extending Barcelona's lead to 3-1.

Just before halftime, Alejandro Balde added to the tally with a goal born from a swift counterattack that capitalized on a failed corner from Real Madrid. This goal sent Barcelona into halftime with a commanding 4-1 lead.

The second half began with Barcelona showing no signs of slowing down. Just three minutes in, Raphinha scored again in the 48th minute, making it 5-1. His goal came from an impressive solo run that sliced through the Madrid defense, showcasing Barcelona's clinical finishing and attacking fluidity.

The team effectively exploited Real Madrid's defensive vulnerabilities throughout the match. As Madrid pushed forward in search of goals, Barcelona capitalized on counterattacking opportunities, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and coordination.

The dynamics of the match shifted dramatically when Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny received a red card for fouling Mbappé in the 56th minute. Despite being reduced to ten men, Barcelona maintained their composure and defensive structure. While Rodrygo managed to score a free-kick shortly after Szczęsny's dismissal, bringing the score to 5-2, it proved too little too late for Real Madrid.
