The National Education Policy (NEP) has once again sparked political tensions, with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin calling out Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for his "arrogance" and "dishonest remarks." The controversy erupted after Pradhan defended the NEP, dismissing Tamil Nadu's opposition to the policy. Stalin strongly criticized the minister's stance, accusing him of ignoring federal concerns and imposing a policy without consultation.
The issue led to heated debates in the Lok Sabha, disrupting proceedings as opposition leaders voiced their discontent. Tamil Nadu has consistently opposed the NEP, citing concerns over regional language suppression and centralization of education. The political battle over the NEP is far from over, with state and central leaders standing firm on their respective positions.
As the dispute escalates, it remains to be seen how the Centre will address the growing unrest over the controversial policy.
