Mohammed Siraj becomes 2025's top Test Wicket-Taker!

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has taken over the top spot as 2025’s highest wicket-taker in Test cricket, surpassing Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani

In eight Test matches this year, Siraj has bowled 1,575 deliveries (262.3 overs) and taken 37 wickets at an average of 26.91.  His tally includes 39 maiden overs, surrendering 996 runs. His best figures in an innings so far stand at 6 for 70.

Muzarabani, in comparison, has played nine matches in 2025, claiming 36 wickets from 1,660 balls at an average of 28.63. Siraj clinched the top spot after dismissing Shai Hope during the second session on Day 4 of the India vs West Indies Test in New Delhi.

This landmark underscores Siraj’s rise as a frontline force in Indian pace bowling - one whose consistency and work ethic are now delivering on the world stage.
