Sara Tendulkar, daughter of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, has become the owner of the Mumbai franchise in the Global e-Cricket Premier League (GEPL).
Powered by JetSynthesys, GEPL is the world's largest e-cricket league, played on Real Cricket, a game with over 300 million downloads.
Since its first season, GEPL has grown significantly, with player registrations rising from 200,000 to 910,000 and a multiplatform reach of over 70 million.
Sara expressed her excitement, calling it a "dream come true" as it combines her love for cricket and Mumbai. Rajan Navani, CEO of JetSynthesys, believes her popularity and passion for esports will help expand GEPL's reach.
GEPL Season 2 promises more competition, advanced formats, and cutting-edge gameplay, leading to a grand finale in May 2025. With Sara's involvement, GEPL aims to revolutionize cricket esports by blending sports, entertainment, and technology.
