In a shocking incident in Greater Noida, a group of at least six individuals opened fire near the home of a 28-year-old student in Ecotech 3 around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. The shooting was the result of a heated verbal argument between the victim, Kapil Nagar, and his acquaintance, Yash Nagar, over insults aimed at Kapil's father. The altercation took place over a WhatsApp call, with Yash reportedly using abusive language about Kapil's father while talking to a mutual friend. When Kapil confronted him, a verbal dispute erupted.

According to police reports, around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Yash Nagar, along with his associates Prince Besla, Happy, Sanju, and two unidentified suspects, arrived at Kapil's house in a Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Armed with rods and revolvers, the group approached the house and fired five to six rounds while hurling abusive language. The incident was captured in a 1.8-minute CCTV video, which quickly spread across social media.

Miraculously, no one was injured during the attack. Following Kapil's complaint, a case was filed under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code at the Ecotech 3 police station. The police have already arrested one suspect, Sanju, and are working to apprehend the remaining five.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Hirdesh Katheriya confirmed that police teams have been formed to track down the other suspects. The investigation continues, and authorities are determined to bring the perpetrators to justice. The incident has shocked the local community, underscoring the escalating violence in some areas of Greater Noida.
