Peppy, a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) sexual wellness brand in India, was founded in 2023 by entrepreneurs Devansh Agarwal and Shyamal Gupta.
In December 2024, renowned content creator and actor Bhuvan Bam joined Peppy as a co-founder and investor, aiming to challenge societal taboos surrounding sexual wellness and intimacy in India.
In May 2024, Peppy raised $500,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Bhuvan Bam, BBKV Productions co-founder and CEO Rohit Raj, and other angel investors. This funding valued the company at ₹50 crore.
The startup is currently seeking an additional $1- 2 million in a seed funding round to expand its reach and sales channels.
Peppy offers a range of sexual wellness products designed for both men and women, including personal massagers, candles, and lubricants.
The brand's mission is to normalize conversations around intimacy and pleasure, making sexual wellness products as commonplace and guilt-free as purchasing skincare or snacks.
Bhuvan Bam's involvement has significantly boosted Peppy's visibility, leveraging his widespread influence to promote open discussions about sexual wellness in India.
