KKR vs RCB IPL 2025 Opener: Predicted XIs, Rain Threat Looms!

The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) kicks off on March 22 with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens. However, the season opener faces uncertainty as Kolkata is under an Orange Alert due to adverse weather conditions. If the match proceeds, fans can expect a high scoring contest, as Eden Gardens traditionally favors batters, though spinners like Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy could make an impact.

KKR's predicted XI features Quinton de Kock and Sunil Narine as openers, followed by Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Rinku Singh, and Andre Russell. Their pace attack includes Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, and Spencer Johnson.

RCB, led by Rajat Patidar, boasts a formidable batting lineup with Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone, and Tim David. Their bowling unit is likely to include Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Yash Dayal.

With both teams packed with star power, the match promises an electrifying start to IPL 2025—if rain doesn’t play spoilsport.
