On December 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Kapoor clan in Delhi for a special gathering, where they discussed the upcoming Raj Kapoor Film Festival. Kareena Kapoor, along with her family—husband Saif Ali Khan, brother Ranbir Kapoor, sister Karisma Kapoor, and others—invited Modi to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor-director Raj Kapoor.

During the meeting, Kareena took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message and pictures from the day. What captured everyone’s attention was a personal touch from PM Modi—a signed autograph for Kareena's sons, Taimur and Jeh.

Kareena expressed her gratitude, writing, “We are deeply humbled and honoured to have been invited by the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to commemorate the extraordinary life and legacy of our grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor.” She thanked Modi for his warmth and support, adding, “As we celebrate 100 glorious years of Dadaji’s artistry, vision, and contribution to Indian cinema, we honour the timeless impact of his legacy, which continues to inspire us and generations to come.”

The meeting was part of preparations for the Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival, a tribute to the filmmaker on his 100th birth anniversary on December 14. The festival, organized by PVR INOX Limited and the Film Heritage Foundation, will run from December 13-15 across 34 cities, showcasing Kapoor’s iconic works like Awara, Shree 420, Sangam, and Mera Naam Joker. This extensive retrospective promises to introduce his cinematic brilliance to both long-time fans and new audiences.
