In a heartbreaking incident from Telangana's Rangareddy district, two young sisters, aged four and five, died of suffocation after being trapped inside a parked car. The tragedy occurred in Damaragiri village while the children's family visited their grandparents to discuss wedding arrangements. While the adults were occupied, Thanu Sri (4) and Abhinetri (5) wandered outside, entered the car unnoticed, and became locked inside. An hour later, they were found unconscious and rushed to a government hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
The Chevella police confirmed no formal complaint has been filed yet. This incident is eerily similar to a case in Gujarat last November, where four children from a migrant family suffocated in a parked car. These recurring tragedies underscore the need for increased awareness and child safety precautions around parked vehicles. A moment of inattention can lead to irreversible heartbreak.
