This year, India will witness a significant surge in iPhone production. Taiwanese company Foxconn has set an ambitious target to manufacture 25 to 30 million iPhones in 2025, more than double last year's output of 12 million. This move is part of Apple's strategy to diversify its production outside of China.
With a new facility rapidly coming up in Bengaluru, Foxconn aims to expand its manufacturing capacity. The company has been conducting limited trial runs at the Bengaluru campus to ensure the plant meets Apple's stringent quality standards. Once successful, mass production and shipment will begin.
Foxconn's growing presence in India not only benefits Apple but also boosts India's role as a manufacturing hub. The company is also exploring ventures in electric vehicles, digital health, and energy sectors. With further investments in semiconductor technology, Foxconn is poised to play a pivotal role in India's tech ecosystem.
