The US Embassy in India has issued a stern advisory to Indian nationals warning against overstaying their visas. The advisory, shared on social media, highlights that individuals who remain in the US beyond their authorized period risk deportation and may face a permanent ban on future travel to the United States.
This warning comes amid an intensified crackdown on illegal immigration by US President Donald Trump during his second term. The administration has already deported hundreds of individuals, including many Indians, as part of strict border enforcement.
The embassy's advisory applies to various visa categories, including tourist, student, and work permits. Trump's controversial measures, such as tighter H1B visa rules and revoking birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants, have also raised concerns.
Indian citizens are urged to strictly follow visa guidelines to avoid irreversible consequences. Immigration violations may now carry heavier penalties than ever before.
