The attack marks a bold move by Ukraine, targeting assets deep inside Russian territory as part of its ongoing strategy to weaken Moscow’s aerial superiority.

The strike came as Russia launched its largest drone attack yet, firing over 300 drones and decoys into Ukrainian territory overnight. Ukrainian forces intercepted and neutralized a majority of them, but some still got through, causing civilian casualties. At least two people were killed and over two dozen injured in cities including Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi.
