Hollywood is full of surprises, and Eva Longoria's story is one of them! Back in 2014, the action movie John Wick was almost canceled because it was short of $6 million.
Just when it seemed doomed, Longoria stepped in and saved it. She invested her own money to keep the project alive and made sure it got released.
At that time, Longoria had no connection to the movie. She decided to help because she believed in the directors and their hard work. She later said, "I love investing in people... The directors were passionate and knew what they were doing."
Her decision paid off in a big way! The movie was a hit, earning over $86 million worldwide. Longoria even doubled her money, making $12 million from her investment.
But despite this success, she admitted that she regretted not staying involved in the sequels, calling it her "only mistake."
Today, John Wick is one of Hollywood's biggest action franchises, earning over $1 billion across four films. Thanks to Longoria's last-minute rescue, the movie didn't just survive, it became a legend.
