In the wake of the devastating pharma unit explosion in Pashamylaram, Sangareddy, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced ₹1 crore compensation for the families of each deceased worker. Additionally, those injured in the blast will receive ₹10 lakh each, as per official instructions issued on July 1.

The explosion, which tore through the Sigachi Industries chemical facility, has claimed over 35 lives so far, with many still missing and several others critically injured. The Chief Minister, who reviewed the situation with senior officials, called it one of the worst industrial tragedies in recent times and promised swift action against any negligence.

The government will also bear the cost of medical treatment for the injured, and steps are being taken to strengthen safety protocols at industrial units across the state. This financial relief package comes amid growing public outrage and demands for justice from the families of the victims, many of whom were migrant workers.
