CBSE’s Student Podcast could change Indian classrooms forever!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched its first-ever student-led podcast and social media initiative for Classes 9–12. The idea is simple yet powerful — hand students the mic and give them a platform to think, question, and share ideas beyond their textbooks.

Early reactions from schools are enthusiastic. Students say the initiative makes learning more exciting and gives them the confidence to speak up, share opinions, and inspire others. Teachers believe it transforms classrooms into spaces of collaboration and creativity, turning passive listeners into active creators.

Experts note that creating podcasts builds valuable skills like storytelling, public speaking, teamwork, and digital literacy — abilities essential for success in today’s world.

However, the move comes with challenges. Students must balance academics with planning, recording, and editing, while schools must provide technical training, time support, and safety guidelines.

If implemented well, this project could shift India’s education system away from rote memorization and towards curiosity, creativity, and real-world communication — giving students a voice that truly matters.
