The Government of India recently launched the new Aadhaar app, offering enhanced security and convenience. Released on April 8, 2025, this app includes innovative features such as Face ID and QR code authentication for seamless verification.
Users can now digitally verify their identity, eliminating the need for a physical Aadhaar card. The Face ID feature uses AI technology to match the user's live photo with the one stored in the UIDAI database, ensuring quick and secure authentication.
The QR code verification allows users to scan a code for instant identity validation, which will soon be available at various locations like shops and hotels.
The app also supports virtual ID generation, secure local storage, and offline access. With features like real-time updates and AI-powered security, this app ensures a safer and more efficient Aadhaar experience.
It is currently in beta testing and will soon be available for download on Android and iOS devices.
