India's AI ecosystem is witnessing rapid growth, and Krutrim is at the forefront of this revolution. Founded in 2023 by Bhavish Aggarwal, this Bangalore-based startup has quickly made waves in the artificial intelligence space.
With a headcount of over 100 employees and growing, Krutrim has already achieved unicorn status, becoming India's first AI Unicorn in January 2024.
Krutrim specializes in developing large language models (LLMs) trained in English as well as local Indian languages. This innovative approach will enable users to interact with a voice-enabled AI assistant that understands and responds in multiple Indian languages, bridging the gap between technology and accessibility.
The company secured $50 million in funding during its early 2024 funding round, pushing its valuation beyond $1 billion. These funds are being utilized to accelerate the development and rollout of Krutrim's Beta AI assistant, which is currently in progress.
With strong backing and a clear vision, Krutrim is poised to redefine AI accessibility in India, making advanced technology more inclusive and widely available.
