Swiggy Instamart has expanded to 100 cities, adding 32 new locations in 2025 to meet rising demand for 10-minute deliveries, especially in Tier II and Tier III cities. "One in four new users in 2025 came from Tier-II and Tier-III cities, underscoring the rising demand for quick commerce," said Amitesh Jha, CEO of Swiggy Instamart.
To support this, Swiggy is introducing "megapods"—large dark stores spanning up to 12,000 sq. ft., capable of stocking 50,000 SKUs. These facilities will enhance product availability, offering both national and local brands tailored to regional preferences.
With the cricket and festive seasons approaching, Swiggy Instamart aims to boost its reach and product variety, spanning groceries, essentials, electronics, and fashion. "We have seen significant traction for convenience-led retail beyond metros, as both consumer behavior and the value proposition of quick commerce evolve," Jha added.
Recently, the platform expanded to Raipur, Siliguri, Jodhpur, and Thanjavur, reinforcing its presence beyond metros. Swiggy Instamart, launched in 2020, delivers over 30,000 products in 10-15 minutes, leveraging Swiggy's ecosystem of 2.4 lakh restaurant partners across 700 cities.
