"The Ba**ds of Bollywood show is really fun" says Netflix's Co-CEO

Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, is making his directorial debut with a Netflix series titled The Ba**ds of Bollywood. At the recent Waves Summit 2025, Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos praised the show, calling it "really fun" and said he had already watched four episodes.

Actor Saif Ali Khan also shared his thoughts, saying the show looked "fantastic" and that his children, Sara and Ibrahim, make brief appearances in it.

While the full title hasn't been revealed yet, Shah Rukh Khan said there's a story behind the name, which Aryan and his team will share later. The series is described as a fun, bold story about an ambitious outsider trying to make it in the glamorous but tough world of Bollywood.

Director Karan Johar also praised Aryan, saying he has a unique voice and doesn't rely on his father's fame. Johar added that Aryan is hardworking and dedicated.

Netflix also shared that from 2021 to 2024, its productions in India created a $2 billion impact and 20,000 jobs. Last year alone, Indian content on Netflix was watched for over 3 billion hours worldwide.
