The heatwave is aging your skin faster, act quick!

As temperatures soar during the summer months, your skin faces heightened risks of premature aging due to prolonged exposure to extreme heat and UV radiation. Dermatologist Dr. Purva Kundu warns that such conditions can lead to breakouts, dullness, and itchy skin. To combat these effects, she recommends the following five skincare strategies:

Cleanse and Protect: Use a hypoallergenic, non-foaming cleanser twice daily to remove sweat and pollutants. Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen before sun exposure to shield your skin from harmful UV rays.

Regular Exfoliation: Gently exfoliate to remove dead skin cells, improve texture, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, while minimizing the risk of acne.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water and use hydrating skincare products to replenish nutrients lost through sweating.

Nighttime Repair: Apply a nourishing night cream to support skin regeneration, enhance elasticity, and rejuvenate your complexion overnight.

Incorporate Vitamin C: Integrate vitamin C-rich products into your routine to combat oxidative stress from environmental factors like pollution and sun exposure.
