United States Vice President JD Vance has embarked on his first official visit to India from April 21- 24, following a diplomatic stop in Italy. Landing in Delhi on Monday morning, Vance is set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 6:30 PM. His itinerary includes cultural visits to Jaipur on Tuesday and Agra on Wednesday, concluding his trip with a Thursday morning departure.
To ensure smooth traffic during the high-profile visit, Delhi Police has issued an extensive traffic advisory. Key routes such as Sardar Patel Marg, Gurugram Road, and C-Hexagon will face parking restrictions and diversions during three peak slots: 9-11 AM, 11 AM- 2 PM, and 6- 9 PM. Commuters are advised to use alternate roads like Ashoka Road, Rao Tula Ram Marg, and Vande Mataram Marg to avoid disruptions.
Authorities recommend using public transport and allocating extra travel time, especially for those headed to ISBTs, railway stations, and airports during the Vice President’s stay.
