Speaking at the World Economic Forum, Telangana's prominent leader Reddy showcased Hyderabad as a city with ambitions far beyond its Indian counterparts. "Hyderabad doesn’t compete with Amaravati, Mumbai, Bengaluru, or Delhi. My strength lies in Hyderabad, which stands unmatched with its world-class educational institutions and infrastructure," Reddy stated confidently.
Positioning Telangana as a hub of innovation, Reddy shared a bold vision of competing with global metropolises like New York, Tokyo, and Singapore. He underlined Hyderabad's strategic approach to attracting multinational investments, leveraging key strengths in green energy, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and defence.
"Telangana means business," he declared, pointing to Hyderabad's robust ecosystem, skilled workforce, and international connectivity. "Anyone looking to invest in India should consider Hyderabad because of it's safe environment and strategic appeal." He also emphasized the established pharmaceutical industry, describing it as pivotal to Hyderabad's rapid economic growth.
Addressing Telangana's financial challenges, Reddy admitted to debt pressures but expressed optimism. "Restructuring our finances is a priority, and this is why attracting investments is crucial to bolster our economy," he explained.
Hyderabad's dynamic mix of cutting-edge industries and forward-thinking policies, according to Reddy, makes it a prime investment destination, offering a model of development that seeks to match and surpass global standards.
