New Delhi — AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has launched a scathing attack on the Haryana government, accusing it of deliberately supplying contaminated water to Delhi. During a press conference, he displayed four bottles of Yamuna water, challenging BJP and Congress leaders to drink it if they believed it was safe.
“For the past few days, water from Haryana has been highly toxic, with ammonia levels reaching 7 PPM—far above the safe limit of 1 PPM. Such high levels can cause severe organ damage, health complications, and even death,” Kejriwal warned.
He specifically blamed Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for ignoring Delhi CM Atishi's repeated calls for intervention. “She called him multiple times, and while he initially assured action, he ultimately did nothing and stopped answering her calls,” he alleged.
Kejriwal accused the Haryana government of political motives behind its inaction, warning that Delhi's water treatment plants were on the verge of shutting down. “If ammonia levels exceed 1 PPM, water treatment becomes impossible. This could trigger a massive water crisis or force the supply of untreated, hazardous water,” he cautioned.
In response, Haryana CM Saini dismissed the allegations, even taking a sip of Yamuna water to counter Kejriwal's claims. However, Kejriwal remained defiant, vowing to fight for Delhi residents and hold Haryana accountable.
As Delhi braces for potential water shortages, the political blame game intensifies, leaving citizens caught in the crossfire of yet another AAP vs. BJP showdown.
