AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, part of India's all-party anti-terror delegation led by Baijayant Panda, has urged the global community to put Pakistan back on the FATF grey list, citing the risk of its $2 billion IMF loan being misused to fund terrorism and support its military operations.
Speaking to the Indian diaspora in Kuwait, Owaisi accused Pakistan of engaging in money laundering and hawala to finance anti-India terror groups. He emphasized that India, with a larger Muslim population, does not indulge in such activities, calling Pakistan’s religious posturing hypocritical.
Owaisi praised India’s zero tolerance approach to terrorism and called for tighter international financial scrutiny of Pakistan.
The delegation is visiting Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria to counter misinformation and highlight India’s stand against cross-border terrorism.
Ghulam Nabi Azad and Panda stressed that India will not remain silent against state-sponsored terror.
