Earlier this year, Kusha criticized the jokes, calling them "dehumanising," which sparked widespread debate. Now, Samay has addressed the aftermath of the incident, revealing that their friendship has been affected.

In an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit, Samay discussed the fallout from the roast. When asked about his relationship with Kusha, he admitted that their friendship is no longer the same. He shared, “We rarely talk now, but I spoke to her recently, and it was great. I am fond of her regardless. I hope that someday we can laugh about everything openly, but that day is still far off.” Samay emphasized that he doesn’t chase controversies and focuses on being himself, though he acknowledged the difficulty in navigating the situation. He expressed his continued support for Kusha's success.

The controversy began when Samay roasted Kusha in an episode of Pretty Good Roast Show S1, targeting her divorce and other personal aspects. His remarks, which included jokes about her body and marriage, were deemed insensitive by many, including Kusha, who later took to social media to express her discomfort. She explained that while she had no idea what the roast would entail, the jokes, particularly those about her divorce, felt "shockingly unkind" and dehumanizing. Kusha added that she wasn't okay with the jokes being aired to millions, highlighting the importance of setting boundaries in such shows.
