In a shocking fraud case, 25 television celebrities, including Ankita Lokhande and Tejasswi Prakash, have been duped in a ₹1.48 crore scam linked to a bogus energy drink campaign. Mumbai police have booked five individuals, including Tanish Chhajed and Manu Shrivastava of Indore-based Sky 63 Energy Drinks, along with their associates.
The fraud unfolded when the accused hired celebrity management firm Ayman Entertainment, run by Roshan Bhinder, to organize promotions. They promised ₹1.32 crore in payments to celebrities, with Bhinder’s commission set at ₹16.91 lakh. To appear credible, they even shared a fake ₹15 lakh cheque as a guarantee.
A grand promotional event was held in Dadar, Mumbai, featuring 100 celebrities, followed by an ad campaign launch. However, payments never arrived, and Bhinder, who had already paid ₹35 lakh upfront to some stars, realized the scam.
Mumbai police are now investigating the case, tracking the fraudsters, and working to recover the stolen funds. The TV industry is in disbelief as more details unfold.
