The BCCI has permitted players to bring their families to Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, but with conditions. Players must seek prior approval, and families can stay for only one match of their choice, not the entire tournament.
The focus remains on team bonding and minimizing distractions.
India's Champions Trophy Schedule
Feb 19: vs. Bangladesh
Feb 23: vs. Pakistan
Mar 2: vs. New Zealand
If India reaches the final, it will also be played in the UAE.
Previously, BCCI allowed families on long tours (45+ days) but only for 14 days, with one visit per day. Approval from the coach, captain, and BCCI’s general manager is mandatory.
Rishabh Pant suffered a knee injury during a practice session on Feb 17, raising concerns about his availability. Having missed the ODI series against England, Pant's participation remains uncertain, with KL Rahul expected to take over as wicketkeeper.
Ahead of their match against Bangladesh, Indian batters showed an attacking approach at the ICC Cricket Academy Ground, smashing over 100 sixes. Hardik Pandya stood out with both bat and ball.
India is all set for the Champions Trophy 2025, stay tuned for more updates!
