Krafton India, the developer behind Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), is facing serious allegations of selling user data. A resident of Mumbai has filed an FIR at the Akluj police station, claiming Krafton sold BGMI users' personal data via Telegram for just ₹2,000 per user.
The complaint names four individuals, including company representatives, and a court hearing is scheduled for April 15. The accusations raise major concerns over user privacy and data security.
This comes after PUBG was banned in India due to similar data concerns, and now BGMI could face the same fate if the charges prove true.
With the growing focus on data protection, Krafton may be in deep trouble if found guilty. The incident has sparked outrage among gamers and privacy advocates alike.
Will BGMI get banned again? All eyes are now on the upcoming court hearing.
