In a shocking statement, Pakistan’s military spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry threatened India with rhetoric identical to that of terrorist Hafiz Saeed, declaring, “If you block our water, we will choke your breath.” The comment was made during a public address at a Pakistani university in response to India’s suspension of parts of the Indus Waters Treaty following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.

This alarming threat mirrors Saeed’s past terror-fueled speeches, drawing criticism and raising concerns over Pakistan’s military adopting extremist language.

India suspended the treaty on April 23 and later launched Operation Sindoor targeting nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir.
