In a major anti terror operation, security forces foiled a bombing plot in Hyderabad and arrested two men suspected of planning attacks in the city. The suspects Siraj Ur Rehman (29) and Syed Sameer (28) were apprehended following a coordinated operation by the counterintelligence wings of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Police.

Acting on a high level intelligence tip off, officials arrested Rehman in Vizianagaram. His interrogation led to the arrest of Sameer in Hyderabad. Authorities revealed that the duo had links with an ISIS module operating out of Saudi Arabia, from which they were allegedly receiving instructions to target Hyderabad.

Explosive materials, including ammonia, sulphur, and aluminium powder, were recovered during raids on their properties. The foiled attack comes shortly after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 dead. The suspects are now in custody and will be presented in court soon.
