"Ek saal mein (Pak's) team khadi kar kay dikhaunga" says Yograj Singh

Yograj Singh has expressed his interest in coaching the Pakistan cricket team, despite the team's disappointing performance in the 2025 Champions Trophy, where they failed to reach the second round.

Pakistan, co-hosting the tournament with Dubai, was eliminated early after poor performances in their first two matches. Many former Pakistani cricketers have criticized the team for their lackluster showing.

In response to these criticisms, Yograj Singh, the former Indian pacer, took a strong stance, calling out former cricketers like Wasim Akram for their lack of involvement with the team.

He suggested that Akram should organize a training camp instead of just earning money through commentary. Yograj boldly claimed, "I will go. I will build this team in one year. You will remember it."

Yograj, who runs his own coaching academy, has previously trained players like Arjun Tendulkar, who made a notable debut in Ranji Trophy.

Yograj himself played one Test and six ODIs for India and is known for his pivotal role in mentoring his son, Yuvraj Singh, who went on to become a cricketing legend, part of India's 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup-winning teams.
