In a daring pre-dawn mission on May 7, Indian forces unleashed Operation Sindoor-a high-precision aerial assault targeting nine terror hubs across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The mission was a swift and calculated retaliation to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack that rocked India on April 22. The result? Dozens of militants neutralized, including five top-tier commanders of terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Among the dead was Mudassar Khadian Khas-aka Abu Jundal-a Lashkar bigwig and head of Markaz Taiba. His funeral was bizarrely attended by Pakistani military top brass and politicians, revealing how deep state complicity runs.
Another major hit was Hafiz Muhammed Jameel, Maulana Masood Azhar's eldest brother-in-law, and the ideological brain behind JeM's radicalisation and recruitment efforts.
India also took down Mohammad Yusuf Azhar, Masood Azhar's brother-in-law and a key figure in the IC-814 hijacking. Alongside him, Khalid alias Abu Akasha-an Afghan arms smuggler-and Mohammad Hassan Khan, son of JeM's operational commander in PoK, were also eliminated.
Operation Sindoor isn't just a military win-it's a geopolitical message. India's counterstrike has reshaped the regional terror calculus and sent a blunt warning across the border.
