Veteran actress Jaya Bachchan recently dismissed Akshay Kumar's 2017 film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha as a "flop," criticizing its unconventional title. However, producer Prerna Arora strongly disagreed, calling Jaya’s remarks hurtful.

Expressing her admiration for Bachchan, Arora urged her to check the box office numbers before making such claims. The film grossed over ₹316.97 crore worldwide and was among the highest earners of 2017. Arora also defended the title, explaining that while it was risky, it ultimately helped deliver a powerful social message.
