Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has fiercely countered Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath's remarks on the three-language debate, calling his stance “political black comedy.” Stalin asserted that Tamil Nadu's resistance to Hindi imposition is a fight for dignity and justice, not electoral politics.
Yogi Adityanath, in an interview, accused Stalin of dividing the country along linguistic lines, citing the Kashi-Tamil Sangamam as an example of Hindi-Tamil unity. He emphasized that Tamil, like Sanskrit, is India's ancient heritage and dismissed DMK’s opposition to Hindi as “narrow politics.”
Stalin, however, maintains that Tamil Nadu is not against Hindi but opposes its imposition. The ongoing debate reflects deeper tensions over language policies and political power in India. With delimitation and linguistic identity at stake, this battle is far from over.
