In a significant administrative shake-up on Thursday night, the Uttar Pradesh government transferred 31 IAS officers, impacting major divisions and districts. This reshuffle includes the appointment of new Commissioners in Meerut, Agra, and Aligarh, and new District Magistrates (DMs) in 14 districts, including Lucknow, Barabanki, and Mathura.

Key among these changes, Selva Kumari J, previously Commissioner of Meerut, has been appointed as Secretary of Planning and Director General of Economics and Statistics. Narendra Prasad Pandey has been transferred to the Judicial Revenue Council in Prayagraj. Ritu Maheshwari, Commissioner of Agra, will now serve as Secretary of Medical Education, Health, and Family Welfare.

Rishikesh Bhaskar Yashod has been transferred from Saharanpur to Meerut as Commissioner, while Shailendra Kumar Singh moves from Mathura to Agra in the same capacity. Chandraprakash Singh, DM of Bulandshahr, has been reassigned as DM of Mathura. Shruti, previously Additional CEO of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, takes over as DM of Bulandshahr.

In Lucknow, Vishak G replaces Surya Pal Gangwar as DM, with the latter transitioning to the role of Secretary to the Chief Minister. Sangeeta Singh, formerly CEO of the National Health Insurance Scheme, assumes charge as Commissioner of Aligarh, replacing Chaitra V, who becomes Director General of Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard.

Other notable shifts include Archana Verma taking charge as CEO of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Ashutosh Kumar Dwivedi moving to Farrukhabad as DM, and Shashank Tripathi being appointed DM of Barabanki.

This reshuffle is expected to streamline administration and strengthen governance across Uttar Pradesh.
