Men are more likely to engage in high-risk behaviors, such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and reckless activities, all of which contribute to higher mortality rates. Additionally, women are generally more proactive about their health, seeking medical attention earlier and following preventive care measures. This helps them manage diseases before they become life-threatening.
While biology gives women a natural advantage, lifestyle choices make a huge difference. By adopting healthier habits, seeking medical care when needed, and making safer life choices, men can work towards narrowing this longevity gap. Until then, science continues to explore the many reasons why women outlive men, offering new insights into human health and aging.
