“Abhi Mereko Karne Ki Jarurat Nahi”: Rohit Sharma’s Witty Comment Goes Viral

A delightful interaction between former Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma and Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant has taken social media by storm ahead of their IPL 2025 clash at Ekana Cricket Stadium.

A video posted by Mumbai Indians shows Pant sneaking up behind Rohit and hugging him while he was in conversation with LSG mentor Zaheer Khan. The heartwarming moment has gone viral, highlighting the friendship between the two Indian stars.

In the clip, Rohit is heard saying, “"o karna tha, maine kiya barabar. Abhi mereko koi karne ki jarurat nahi hai," just before Pant jumps in with a playful "Haanji!" and hugs him from behind, making for a fun and emotional exchange.

The gesture brought some levity before an important match for both sides.

Mumbai Indians, now led by Hardik Pandya, and Lucknow Super Giants, captained by Pant, have both had mixed starts to the season, with only one win from three matches.

MI continues to struggle with batting and the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, while LSG hopes for continued form from Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh.

Currently, LSG leads the head-to-head record 5-1 against MI. The upcoming match is crucial for both teams to gain momentum.
