In a shocking incident in Hyderabad, 45-year-old Guru Murthy, a former soldier who now works as a security guard with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), allegedly confessed to killing his wife, Venkata Madhavi, 35, and trying to cover up the crime. According to reports, Guru Murthy detailed the gruesome act to the police, claiming that he chopped his wife's body into parts and boiled them in a pressure cooker. The police say that he went further by grinding the bones using a pestle and boiling the remains for three days. Afterward, he allegedly packed the remains and discarded them in a lake.
The incident came to light on January 16, when Venkata Madhavi’s family reported her missing. The police became suspicious of her husband and began questioning him. Police Inspector Nagaraju said, “The parents had lodged a missing complaint. The husband came along with them. We grew suspicious and questioned him. He confessed to the crime.”
Guru Murthy and Madhavi had two children. Their relationship reportedly had frequent conflicts, but the exact motive and circumstances of the murder are still unclear. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to verify the gruesome details given by Guru Murthy.
The case has shocked the local community, and the authorities have arrested Guru Murthy. The police continue to investigate the case to gather more evidence.
