A recent Burson report highlights that 67% of Gen Z in India prioritize physical health, while 63% focus on mental well-being.
This reflects a balanced, holistic approach to wellness among young Indians, influenced heavily by the pandemic.
Despite their digital-first lifestyles, 66% of Gen Z still prefer in-person healthcare, showing strong trust in doctors (77%) and hospitals (68%). However, affordability, accessibility, and the growing problem of online misinformation remain major concerns, with over 80% encountering misleading health information online.
This has created a demand for more transparent and reliable health communication. Interestingly, 53% of Gen Z are open to alternative and holistic treatments, signaling a broader view of health management.
Moreover, 59% expect healthcare companies to serve as partners in their long-term wellness journey.
The report paints a picture of a digitally empowered yet human-centered generation, redefining healthcare through a mix of technology, trust, and personal responsibility.
