Rajesh Sawhney, Founder of GSF Accelerator and an alumnus of Harvard and LSE, has issued a stark warning to Indian parents: Think twice before sending your children abroad for expensive education. Amid tightening immigration rules in the US, UK, and Canada, Sawhney says job opportunities for international students are vanishing.
In a viral post on X, Sawhney lamented the end of a once reliable “hack” where IIT grads pursued MS degrees in the US and landed $200K tech jobs. “That hack works no more,” he declared. His statement has sparked debate among tech professionals, students, and parents alike.
Sawhney advocates for a shift in mindset urging engineers to build in India instead of chasing vanishing opportunities abroad. His views echo a growing sentiment that the global landscape has shifted and Indian talent must now look inward to thrive.
